Guitar Effects - Famous Guitar Sounds

Modern electric guitar signal processing devices have become essential to an artist's sound or tone. Nowadays, single and mult-effect units are relatively low-cost allowing many guitarists the ability to emulate the sound of their heroes and create sounds of their own. Tone and distortion can be adjusted at a guitarist's feet so the sound can be adjusted while keeping both hand on the guitar.

There are a ton of effects to play with .... distortion, chorus, reverb, flanging, delay .... But you don't have to be an expert on signal processing, you just have to figure out what you want from your sound. A good place to start is who you like to listen to, find out what effects they use and start tinkering with them.
